Forget heroes. In Prototype 2, vengeance fuels Sgt. James Heller's monstrous new abilities. Framed for his family's death in a Blacklight outbreak – the same virus Alex Mercer supposedly contained – Heller is infused with a mutated strain. Now, he possesses Mercer's shapeshifting power, but with a terrifying twist: Heller retains his humanity amidst the carnage.
Gone is the desolate wasteland of the first game. New York Zero, a monstrous quarantine zone, pulsates with Blacklight tendrils and ravaged cityscapes. Heller's rage lets him morph into hulking beasts, tear through tanks with his bare hands, and glide between skyscrapers.
This concrete jungle becomes your weapon. Devour enemies to absorb their memories and consume them whole to regain health. Unlike Mercer, Heller seeks the truth behind the Blacklight resurgence and the man who may be responsible: Alex Mercer himself.
